Connect a Google Sheet to sync all your Product Cost/COGS

Simply link BeProfit to your Google Sheets account, and then your COGS will be updated and calculated automatically.


Connect your Google Sheet with BeProfit

  1. Go to Settings ➡️ Costs ➡️ Product Costs.

  2. Scroll down to the Product Costs table, click on the Sync with Google Sheets button on the right.

  3. When a message pops up, click on Connect with Google.

  4. When you get the permission message, click Allow.

  5. If it’s the correct account, click Link Sheet. You can also use our empty template if needed.

  6. Match the columns on your sheet which contain the SKU and COGS values, click Done.

  7. You’re all set now, click Close.

  8. Errors will be listed if there is a sync issue. Once you've corrected all errors in Google Sheets, click Resync.

Frequently asked questions

Will Google Sheets update my COGS and orders retroactively?

The first time the Google sheet is connected to the Products Costs page it will update past and future orders. Any future change will only update future orders.

Can I enter the COGS value in a different currency?

No, COGS amounts must be in the same currency as your shop with no currency, only numbers.

What do I need to do if I added new products to my shop?

If you add new products to your shop, you will need to update the Google Sheet manually and add the product and its COGS.

How do I create a template with my current COGS and product cost?

  1. Click on the Bulk Update button on the right.

  2. Click on Download Now. A file with all your products and variants and their costs will be downloaded.

  3. Copy or import the downloaded file into Google Sheets to create a template.

Why aren't the COGS I've entered in my Google Sheet being reflected in the order?

The COGS hierarchy could explain why you can't see COGS after adding them. Please check your hierarchy level according to the following list of descending hierarchy levels.

  1. Bulk Update from the Orders page.

  2. Manual edit on the Orders page.

  3. COGS integration.

  4. COGS profiles:

    1. COGS profile with specific products selected.

    2. COGS profile with all products selected.

  5. Google Sheet sync.

  6. Product Cost page manual update.
